Today is my eldest daughter's birthday! (Happy birthday, Laura dear!)
I made her a set of three Celtic knot heart pillows. Earlier this year she sent me a picture of them from Pinterest and I made a mental note for when her birthday rolled around. You can find a tutorial on how to make these pillows HERE.
Inspired by the pillows I also made her a Celtic knot heart necklace. I knitted the cording and used the same procedure for the pillows on the knot.
Below is a picture of the beginning work on the pillows. These are the long tubes after I got the turned right-side out.
Next it was a lot like stuffing sausage. You roll a magazine and slide the fabric on then start stuffing it.
This is how the pillow looks right before I tied the knot. This part felt like fighting an Octopus! In the end I was pretty happy with how they turned out.
