Monday Message

"Start now to create a plan if you don’t already have one, or update your present plan. Watch for best buys that will fit into your year’s supply. We are not in a situation that requires panic buying, but we do need to be careful in purchasing and rotating the storage that we’re putting away. The instability in the world today makes it imperative that we take heed of the counsel and prepare for the future." (L. Tom Perry)

As we enter 2021 we can continue with preparing. We saw what 2020 brought us and now we know what can happen and we should prepare for what we do not know that may be coming.

I can tell you that as I am writing this a big winter storm is coming, it is nice I won't have to go out in it. Makes me think I want to hibernate for the rest of winter.

What are you planning to learn this year?

Here is a picture list of what I want to do and learn more in this new year...

Gus and Missy both say it's more important than ever to do the things that will keep us safe like wearing a mask and staying home!

  2. Your weaving is so beautiful. Is it a blanket? My church did a great weaving project some years ago. We had a big pile of fabric strips and each wrote a personal prayer on one. Then, a member wove them into a big tapestry that now hangs in church. The colors fade into one another and it's just stunning.

I'm really glad we're well stocked right now. With the post Christmas spike, staying out of stores is preferable. I haven't run out of anything necessary to make healthy meals. Also glad I'm well stocked on thread and sewing supplies. So far so good!

As for learning, I need to learn how to finish my unfinished projects!! I have several that will clear out some craft room space... But I need to get my tail in gear😁

    1. I never heard of her so I went and looked wow she did nice things I do embroider but didn't do that one it is a vintage dresser scarf I use it to cover the bread machine but I hadn't yet put it back on that day until that bread was sliced after that I put it back. The really light bright green was a dishcloth the gold Pic above is a cowl I am working on another in a dark blue green only doing a longer one that can be wrapped around once again the pattern is free from tincan knits if you go back the basket on the black rocking chair I took round clothespins which I am not fond of using for clothes to dry but I took those out of my clothespin bag and wrapped them with embroidery floss and put in a basket and sat in chair there....it has my small embroidery projects going on. Thank you for sharing the site and yes you be safe too it is really getting bad. You in summer and me in a blizzard warning seems weird.
