Canning Chicken & Drying Mushrooms

I canned 40 pints of chicken. It is a wonderful thing to have and a great addition to your food storage.
Mushrooms were on sale. They were very easy to dry. I washed them, sliced them with an egg slicer and laid them on the trays. Out of 20 boxes I got a gallon jar full and almost a quart jar more!

  1. Your chicken looks great. It sure feels good to see what you're accomplished, doesn't it? I do my meats in pints also. They are great for a quick meal.
